As long as the weilder is within 20 feet of the slime in question they can give it simple -and I do meen SIMPLE-instructions like, move foward or eat that.
The staff also allowes the Delver to speek to and undesrtand slimes-not that having a conversation with a blob of green goo is going to be amazing but they can do it?
